No New Posts *main barn

the main barn is where the school horses as well as a few sale and boarder horses are found. there is a large, well lit tack room located inside the main barn as well as the offices. the floor is concrete, and the stalls are generous, 10 x 12. there are both rings on the wall for tying as well as cross-ties, so every horse can have it's way.

No New Posts *front paddock

this is one of the two areas that you are able to roleplay your horse as itself. here is where your horse is turned out either once, twice, three times, or all day. here is where your horse can develop a friendly or unfriendly relationship with other horses. this paddock is smaller than the boarder's pasture due to the smaller number of horses placed in the front paddock.

No New Posts *lower barn

the lower barn is where all the rest of the boarders can be found. these stalls are 12 x 12, and there is a large, heated tack room filled neatly with boarder's things. each horse has it's own saddle placed in it's owner's designated area. the floors are stone and heated in the winter for easy cleaning.

Sub-boards: *boarder's indoor arena, *boarder's tack room

No New Posts *back pasture

this is the boarder's pasture. this is where horses can also be roleplayed. when placing your horse's claim, you are able to select for how long your horse will be turned out, and it will be done. this pasture is larger than the front paddock and it's view is obstructed from passers by so that the horses will not be as disturbed.

No New Posts *outdoor arena

the outdoor arena is shared both by boarders and lesson horses. it has lights provided for night riding, and it is watered two to five times daily, depending on the usage. small jumps are centered in the arena, while the outer area is cleared for flatwork.

No New Posts *show ring

filled with a plethora of jumps, this ring is used for our jumping competitions, as well as the use of the dressage and cross country trials for three day events. both riders and boarders may use it, but only when a trainer is present to make sure everyone is safe and no damage is done

No New Posts *dressage arena

the dressage arena is clear and free of any jumps, and is used mainly for those riders and boarders who are being taught or who ride with a dressage trained horse. other horses are advised to use either the indoor arena or the other (somewhat larger) outdoor arena.

No New Posts *jumping arena

the jumping arena is a tad smaller than both the dressage ring and the outdoor arena, but hosts a course of jumps that is shared by lesson riders and boarders alike. during shows, this is used as a warmup arena, as well.

No New Posts *cross country course

although smaller than nationally recognized cross-country courses, this helps the rider desensitize their horse to the outside world and allow them to challenge themselves and their horses by going over logs and man-made ponds and small jumps.

No New Posts *trails

it is warned to all riders that they should have at least one other horse and rider accompanying them on the winding trails. they are easy on the horse and switch from limestone to dirt to grass, and go in various directions along to property.

here in the little town of barnes, england, they've got a small selection of shops and boutiques. they've even added an addition to the old-time riding store.

No New Posts *the barnes cafe

sadly, in barnes, the only real food one can find is in their homestyle english cafe. the food is great, especially their drinks and breads. the workers there are friendly, and they know some of the riders well.

No New Posts *central park

no, no. this isn't quite that central park. this is situated along the pond that barnes is located on. there are plenty of trees and benches, and areas to play football or hockey.

here owners and boarders and animal lovers alike will meet the lovely blaire leigh, who both rides and owns at hsf and also tends to sick and injured horses and animals in the small town. educated in london, the female runs her own practice, and is friendly and kind.

some of the boarders and riders and their families have been born and raised in barnes, or they may have just moved. whatever the case, their homes are situated along the small streets of the town.

No New Posts *hospital

unfortunately, hospital is where many of the riders have seen themselves in. it's a busy place sometimes, depending on the day and the rider, but at barnes, we're certainly glad to be located near london so we can have easy access to a nice hospital.

many boarders and riders do not live in the town of barnes. in fact, many choose to live in london and complete the short drive to barnes to visit their horses.
